All About Lil' Ol' Me
Finally launched in April 2025, Lil' Lost Kitten Creative (lillostkitten.com) is the website of writer G. B. Bard. I am a non-binary, queer and neurodivergent author of speculative fiction in a variety of genres. A half-American, Welsh-born nomad with a disjointed sense of belonging, I’ve lived in many locations across the British Isles; revelling in its secrets. Currently settled in Edinburgh with found family and an errant Sphynx cat, I spend my free time table-top roleplaying, game building and delighting in fandom geekery. Whether circumnavigating stars, delving through fantastical realms, supernaturally sleuthing the lands of mythos or somehow surviving the apocalypse: you’re guaranteed to find me there scribing adventures.
Background-wise, I currently work in the Heritage sector, but have an honours degree in Drama & Theatre Arts from Queen Margaret University specialising in Playwriting. My past creative works include contribution to local short-story anthology “Shorelines: Stories from the Sea”(2005); a production of “When The Clock Strikes”(2012) for the Bated Breath Graduate Show at the Traverse Theatre; two co-written in-house productions “Southside Story”(2016) and “Locomotivation”(2017), as well as a pre-recorded podcast “Radio YHHA”(2018) and an article on "Resort and Ruin: Dunbar's Hotel Bellevue"(2024) for Historic Environment Scotland.

I used to journal over on LJ before it turned into a ghost town, and have been bopping around microblogging platforms ever since (first Twitter, prior to its fall, and now Bluesky). Now this shall be my home of longform blogging; something I have missed a fair bit.
As intended, all my blogs shall remain free to read (though I may link commissioned editorials, creative writing, art and indie book sales offsite every now and again). I stand by keeping my ramblings freely accessible - screw the capitalism of paywalls!
